Piazza Navona
One of the most famous and beautiful piazzas in the magical city of Rome, Piazza Navona is home to market stalls and street entertainers by day, as well as Bernini’s priceless Fountain of the Four Rivers and Borromini’s Church of Sant’Angese in Agone.
Campo dei Fiori
Just a few minutes south of the Papal Suites is Campi dei Fiori, one of Rome’s most atmospheric piazzas. First thing each morning, this wide open space is filled with market stalls, but by night it is one of the city’s most popular hang out spots, with countless bars, pubs and clubs opening out into the piazza.
The Pantheon
The Pantheon is the best preserved Pagan Roman temple in the world, thanks mainly to the fact that it was donated to the Catholic Church by Emperor Phocas in 609CE. Now one of the world’s most exclusive marriage venues and home of the biggest dome in Rome, the Pantheon is without doubt one of the city’s most awesome sights.
Trastevere
Just a short tram ride across the River Tiber brings you to the trendy district of Trastevere, historically the district where the poorest people of Rome once lived but today a very exclusive neighbourhood full of bars. restaurants, boutiques and market stalls. |
