Airplane

Air - Rome has two commercial airports - Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA), the latter being the more modern and accessible.
Airplane

Airport Links - From Fiumicino there are trains running till around 11.30pm, from Ciampino there are coaches running in conjunction with all flights.
Boat

Sea - The Port of Rome, Civitavecchia, is the destination of countless cruise ships and will almost certainly be your terminal if you’re coming by sea.

Train

Trains - Termini is Rome’s principal train station and public transport hub, although the Papal Suites Rome is more easily accessed from Trastevere Station.

Buses, Trams and Metro

Buses, Trams & Metro - Rome’s limited metro system unfortunately does not pass close to the Papal Suites but countless buses pass along Corso Vittorio Emanuele nearby as well as the Number 8 Tram.
Taxi

Taxis - A taxi from either of the airports costs a fixed fare of around €40 during the day but more like €75-€100 after 11pm.

Our Recommended Routes

Papal Suites luxury accommodation in the historical centre of Rome offers a reliable and luxurious airport or seaport transfer service - simply leave us a message when you book online using our online booking system and we’ll get back to you with a quote.

From Fiumicino Airport we’d recommend the urban train to Trastevere (not the Express train to Termini) followed by the Number 8 tram through Trastevere, across the River and to Corso Vittorio Emanuele - a journey that is as pleasing on the eye as it is convenient and economical.

From Ciampino we’d recommend buying a coach ticket on the ground (as opposed to on the plane) for Termini. From Termini any number of buses go to Corso Vittorio Emanuele or a taxi, which will cost in the region of €25.
